Volunteer Opportunity!

We have had a warm response to our CD ministry to NUMC shut-ins.  Volunteers are needed to assist in editing and duplicating our Sunday morning service recordings.  The commitment of your time will be limited:  one-time training (no more than an hour), then about 30 minutes monthly, to do the fast editing and copy work after the 9:30am service.  If you regularly attend the 9:30 service, you will only need to stay a half hour longer when it is your week.  If you are a regular at the 11:00am service, you can come a half hour early and be done in time for the service.  This small investment of your time can provide a huge dividend:  encouragement and connection for members of the church family who cannot physically be present with us on Sunday mornings.  Communications

See below for a great volunteer opportunity!

Come see us!  We're always "fishing" for some great new idea to help our members better communicate.

The mission of the Communications Committee is to help all ministries of NUMC effectively utilize the various media at our disposal to inform the membership and the public and to expand the ministries of the church.

Our Goals include:

  • Producing and distributing the Parish Notes newsletter in print and web format eleven times per year.
  •  Placing church service information ads in the appropriate media on a weekly basis.
  •  Producing and publishing press releases as requested.
  •  Managing the church website and the related internet services.
  •  Seeking additional methods to advertise the ministries of the church.
  •  Producing and maintaining church directory of members and staff.
  •  Carrying out duties regarding building exterior signage.

Our committee meets monthly, usually on the first Tuesday at 7pm. We welcome new ideas and new team members. Please contact Sam Chamberlain (), chairperson, for more information.
