Church Council is the organization of NUMC that plans, coordinates and implements its programs of nurture, outreach, and witness, and the resources to do so. Council also performs various administrative duties, and ultimately envisions, plans, implements and annually evaluates the mission and ministry of Newark United Methodist Church.
Church Council meets at NUMC on the fourth Monday of every month (generally except in December) from 7:00 to 8:30 pm; the meetings are public and open to everyone. Required attendees are representatives of our various ministries (pastors, committee chairs, UMM, UMW, and Youth representatives, and certain staff members). Agenda items may be submitted by anyone, but must received six days prior to the meeting, by sending an email to the contacts below.
