Newark
United Methodist Church supports International Missions:
- United Methodist Missions
worldwide are supported through a percentage of each week's offering
and the yearly budget.
- Refugee Resettlement - Our church has undertaken nine sponsorships embracing
42 individuals: 28 from Laos, 6 from Bosnia, 4 from Togo, and 4 from
Kosovo. The first family sponsored arrived in 1978. The most recently
sponsored family came to Newark in the summer of 1999.

- our sister city in Nicaragua
- BorderLinks is a program in experimental education that provides
opportunities for first-hand examination of economic and political patterns
on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border that affect us all.
