• Habitat for Humanity of New Castle Co. - The first NUMC-sponsored Habitat House was built in Wilmington at Eighth and Morrow Streets as part of a six-home project. It was dedicated on Dec. 12, 1999. NUMC will continue its involvement with Habitat as part of the Newark Habitat Coalition.

• Newark Area Welfare Committee Food Cupboard and Christmas Basket Program - Church members donate, store, and help distribute food.

• Tree of Hope - We collect new clothing during winter months.

• Angel Tree® (Prison Fellowship Ministries) - We present Christmas gifts to children whose parent(s) are in prison.

• Meeting Ground - a shelter in Cecil County, Maryland for the homeless

• Emmaus House (Homeward Bound) - Newark's home for homeless families

• Brown Bag Club - We give space to this food co-op for qualifying low-income families.

• Neighborhood House - a full-service agency in Wilmington

• Hope Dining Room - a lunch program for homeless/poor in Newark

• Emmanuel Dining Room (Ministry of Caring) - a lunch program in South Wilmington

• Peace Meal - semi-monthly meal for people living with AIDS, and their families
