What role does the Bible play in the life of NUMC? United Methodist faith and doctrine are based on the word of God – the Holy Bible. “We believe the Holy Bible, Old and New Testaments, reveals the Word of God so far as is necessary for our salvation.” (The Book of Discipline)

Who can become a member? Anyone who professes Jesus Christ as his/her Savior and attends three orientation sessions for new members may become a member of the Newark United Methodist Church.

What is expected of members? Members are expected to support the church through their prayers, presence, gifts and service.

How many members belong to NUMC? About 2,150 members belong to NUMC.
